Angela Bennett
Performer/Producer/Writer:
With a BA in Theatre Arts, Angela's professional experience includes producing directing, and acting as a Actors Equity Association member. She is the recipient of Creative Loafing Magazine’s Theatre Awards for Actress of the Year and Best Actress in a Comedy. During the height of her stage career, she created and directed cabaret shows to critics’ raves and subsequently conceived, co-wrote and produced the award winning, “Wildwood Flowers: The June Carter Musical”. She then began writing/performing original music with The Pacha Mamas, some of which was recorded for an album. Prior to Covid, Angela was making her living primarily by working as on camera talent and voice over talent, as well as creating/producing content for digital media. She is currently getting back to her roots in live production.
Artist Statement:
As an artist, my deepest passion has always been the performing arts—music, spoken word, and theatre. Early in my career, I devoted myself to live performance, but later, as a single mother, I transitioned to film, TV, and voiceover work to ensure more financial stability while keeping
a presence in live art. Now, I am intentionally shifting my focus back to live performance art
armed with greater wisdom, clarity, and a deeper understanding of what it takes
to create healthy collaborations. I am committed to expanding into new creative territories and collaborative efforts that embody a more holistic way of being—personally, within community, and in relationship with the natural world. -Angie B
