Covid threw a wrench in this project just as it was gaining some momentum, and for a long time I wasn’t sure I’d ever return to it. Then a friend—whose insight I trust deeply—recommended Maya Penn’s book Eco Revolution. After reading it, something in me re‑ignited, and I’ve begun quietly putting feelers out again to find the “right” collaborators.
Below is an early promo video I created with filmmaker Jose Acosta. It’s not what I’d use to pitch the project now—for many reasons, including the fact that it doesn’t fully capture the scope of the idea—but it does offer a small taste of the original vision. Hopefully, more will unfold from here.
In the meantime, I wholeheartedly recommend Maya’s book (click the image for purchasing options). It’s intelligent, wise beyond her years, inspiring, and—most importantly—overflowing with hope for healing our relationship with Mother Earth (Gaia) and all her sentient beings.
