In 2007, the Pacha Mamas began creating and performing together in Nashville, TN. The group consisted of Angela Bennett, Marquetta Dupree and Vivian Slade and included regular guest artists. One by one they moved to Atlanta starting in 2009, remaining active with Pacha Mamas until about 2017. Their performances were primarily driven by original music sung in three-part harmonies and included: movement, improvisation, spoken word and storytelling.
